Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television personality in the United States and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spikey blonde locks and pump up appearance, offers the basics of cooking that anyone can master. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has explored Italy's cuisine and its culture along with the natural environment. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went to earn an English degree as well as a communications certificate from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had my most memorable time in my life. I couldn't seem to get enough out of the experience. After graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. While in Italy she was able to fully be aware of the philosophies behind Italian food and culture that has had a profound impact in her viewpoint. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in children's lives who are facing difficulties. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes education about children with diabetes. Burrell speaks on her culinary love and imparts her knowledge of the culinary world, as she regularly is in the United States for various roles such as speakers and mentors. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my true passion in life with others.
