Vinita Nair
In July of 2004 Nair joined ABC News as a reporter and reported on a wide range of news stories, including investigating the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair became a part of ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. As a reporter, she anchored live coverage and news briefs for ABC's digital network. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's online network, which ran until September 17th in 2008 to February 18, the 18th of February. In both programs, Nair was initially paired with Jeremy Hubbard. Later she co-anchored the show with Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th of February 2011. The same day would also mark her final day on ABC News. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her immediate successor. The issue of February 18 on World News Now paid tribute to Nair in all three segments, including appearances from former and present colleagues, including Jeremy Hubbard. On her last day the crew was treated by Nair to breakfast that was delicious.
